What you should remember to avoid accidents and work in safety

Did you know that the most serious accidents involving cranes are the result of inadequate planning and unsafe use of the equipment, leading to instability and overturning?
Take just one minute to review the necessary steps to stabilize the truck before of lifting. Read the 5 rules and watch the video!
1. Did you point out and isolate the working area of the crane so unauthorized people won’t get close during operations?
2. Check the status of the soil on which the stabilizers will stand: do not be afraid to increase the support surface of the stabilizers.
3. In the operator’s manual you find the table showing what is the minimum support surface on the ground that you need for the stabilisers of your crane. If you have doubts about the type of ground, do not hesitate in increasing the support surface!
4. Always stare at the movements of stabilisers: in this way you can check if there are some people or objects near them, avoiding accidents.
5. Remember that truck tires have to be lifted, but also keeping adherent to the ground to keep a braking action. You can have the correct braking only using the proper wedges equipping the truck.
