Effer in Norway for subsea missions

Shipowner Olymipc Shipping chose 2 Effer cranes with ROV Hangar application for the Olympic Bibby subsea vessel

On April 9, 2015 the subsea vessel Olympic Bibby was christened in Kleven shipyard, Norway. The shipowner, Olympic Shipping, decided to install 2 Effer marine cranes model 110M 2s with winch and special application ROV Hangar, through Effer’s Norwegian partner, SHM Solution AS.

Olympic Bibby has been designed for inspection, maintenance and repair of subsea installations.
With a length of 88 metres and a width of 19 metres, it is the seventh offshore vessel delivered by Kleven shipyard to Olympic Shipping since 2011.

The ship made its magnificent entrance in the narrow harbor of Fosnavåg. Waiting for her, the Godmother Mrs Connie Brown who gave all the best wishes to the ship and her crew.

Effer partner for the Norwegian market,, was involved in commissioning and load testing of the 2 cranes. The model Effer 110M has proven to be an ideal tool for working, very flexible to operate in narrow spaces, easy to use but maintaining the performance required by its use in a marine environment.
