Hiab & Effer: Stronger Together

EFFER was founded on November 9, 1965. The name chosen for the company came from the Latin verb "Effero," which means “to lift". But the name also encapsulates the mission EFFER originally established for itself and for the other companies that made up the group over the next several decades: that of designing and building machines to lift people and things.

In 2018, Hiab acquired the EFFER brand, strengthening its own portfolio of knuckleboom cranes. With its own historic and prestigious history, the acquisition by Hiab cemented a “stronger together” mentality. Hiab's premium equipment includes HIAB and EFFER loader cranes, MOFFETT and PRINCETON truck mounted forklifts, LOGLIFT forestry cranes, JONSERED recycling cranes, MULTILIFT hooklifts, GALFAB roll-off cable hoists, and WALTCO lift gates.

Combining EFFER and HIAB, both well-established industry pioneers, the company strives to make load handling smarter, safer, and more sustainable to build a better tomorrow.
