Industry leading features to create a safer work environment

Behind the design of each of our crane models is the guiding principle of delivering a safe product, offering products fulfilling basic working needs all the way up to the most advanced products.

Safety is always foremost in EFFER’s continued innovation. EFFER continues to bring to market industry leading safety technology. EFFER was the first to bring stability management systems, boom stabilizing systems, and our speed control systems to the industry. Our suite of industry leading safety features continue to ensure our cranes are the safest cranes in the market.

Liability and personnel cost reductions

The implications of using safe equipment cover a wide spectrum of benefits, much more than what safety might even mean at a first glimpse.

Products that can be used by different skilled level of operators come in handy when managing resources that come and go, or when having to do a job that is being done under pressure of time.

Safety: SAF

Semi Automatic Folding [SAF] simplifies the stowing process reducing it to a single-lever operation, protecting the crane and the truck from damage. It allows a single lever operation to fold and unfold the crane, while activating just one lever, which greatly simplifies this frequent routine operating task.

Safety: CTC

The Crane Tip Control [CTC] assists the drivers by reducing the number of actions they have to make on the remote levers, increasing the safety of the load’s positioning, while assuring a more fluid and smooth movement.

Safety: LSS-V

Load Stability System [LSS-V] provides smoother, more precise vertical boom motions. If an operator performs a hard stop while raising or lowering a load, boom movement is controlled, preventing load damage and unnecessary stress on the crane’s components.

Safety: VSL

Variable Stability Limit [VSL] monitors the truck’s stability by registering the extension of stabilizers and monitoring the pressures at each leg to determine the maximum safe capacity of the crane, allowing for higher capacities in situations where the legs are not able to be fully extended.

EFFER CRANE FEATURES

Your business deserves the most care and support. It is important to dedicate your time to customers and their requests, not lose time handling the equipment or related issues. It's EFFER’s commitment to improve every step of owning and using its cranes. Technology and innovation are among the most important factors that contribute to giving you that extra edge compared to what is on the market.

It's not the single product or feature that matters but the 360° approach we have in developing our solutions.

D-Drive & HP-Drive Control Systems

The D-Drive and HP-Drive control systems with Overload Protection (OLP) bring an unprecedented level of safety to operations without reducing performance. This highly flexible system will make your business safer and more profitable with all electronic functions, managed by our SPACE system, which includes Overload Protection (OLP) and Automatic Duty Control (ADC). When approaching an overload condition, the crane gives an audible and visual signal at 90% capacity and will stop all radius increasing functions once full capacity has been reached.

Automatic Speed Control

Automatic Speed Control (ASC) reduces dynamic loading by progressively reducing the speed of the crane when the capacity is between 80% and 100%, preventing operators from performing unsafe, abrupt movements.

Variable Stability Limit System

EFFER’s Variable Stability Limit system (VSL) monitors the truck’s stability by registering the extension of stabilizers and monitoring the pressures at each leg to determine the maximum safe capacity of the crane, allowing for higher capacities in situations where the legs are not able to be fully extended.

Load Stability System

Load Stability System (LSS-V) provides smoother, more precise vertical boom motions. If an operator performs a hard stop while raising or lowering a load, the LSS-V system controls boom movement, minimizing the bouncing of the boom and load, while preventing load damage and unnecessary stress on the crane’s components. This feature works in the background to smooth out boom functions allowing for easier placement of the load, making deliveries faster and more efficient. By controlling boom movement and minimizing the bounce of the boom, the structural stress is reduced, thus increasing the expected service life of the crane.

Crane Tip Control

Crane Tip Control (CTC) and Semi Automatic Motion (SAM) are optional features available on HP-Drive cranes. CTC allows the crane’s controls to be controlled by three levers – the horizontal extension from the truck, the vertical lift, and the rotation of the crane. SAM brings automated movement sequences via one-paddle control - an industry first. CTC and SAM provide a simplified operation, reducing training time when onboarding new operators, while allowing operators to perform complex techniques safely and efficiently.

CombiDrive 3 Remote Control

HP-Drive models, equipped with a CombiDrive 3 remote control, increases efficiency by giving the operator freedom of movement to use the best possible position to view the load. It comes standard with a 100%, 70%, or 50% speed switch. This feature allows the operator to easily change the speed of the crane - especially useful when adjusting heavy loads at long outreaches. The CombiDrive3 remote control is a reliable and worry-free industrial component designed to last the life of the crane.

XSDrive Remote Control

The XSDrive remote control increases efficiency by giving the operator freedom of movement to use the best possible position to view the load. It features two-way communication with the crane, proportionally controlling movements. The XSDrive remote control is a reliable and worry-free industrial component designed to last the life of the crane.

nDurance

nDurance is EFFER's state of the art anti-corrosion paint system using nano technology for the ultimate anti-corrosion coating, maintaining a rust-free reliable crane.

Pump Flow Distribution

Pump Flow Distribution (PFD) provides smooth crane operations by equally dividing oil flow instead of taking the path of least resistance. PFD ensures that available oil flow is distributed evenly, making the crane operation very predictable, smooth, and precise.

CrosStab

CroSStab is an optional feature, which allows you to adjust the stabilizers diagonally in the opposite direction of the casing, extending the maximum stabilization area to 360°. This allows the crane to work at 100% perfomance in all 360° of rotation. Using the CroSStab, you can have a free working area at the base of the crane to carry out heavy lifting. The CrosStab system allows you to achieve better results at lower costs compared to most alternative solutions to front load lifting, allowing you to work in a much wider front area.

V-Stab

For some range models, V-Stab is available, which is an integral pedestal with stabilizers oriented permanently towards the vehicle cabin. Exceptional results in front and side stability, combined with compactness of the installed crane, allow working in confined spaces. Moreover, thanks to V-Stab the cost of any stabilizers in front of the cabin are avoided, and stability at the front is even greater. V-Stab allows you to move the load at a greater distance when compared to traditional stabilization, with maximum boom reach.

Assisted Hoist Control

During the crane's extensions of in/out movements, with the hoist engaged, Assisted Hoist Control (AHC) follows the boom’s speeds, winding and unwinding the rope, to keep a constant distance between the load and the head pulley. There is no sensor! It is based on the knowledge of every single spool flow and the Progress, following some logic to arrange the right oil flow to the hoist.

Dynamic Load Control

Dynamic Load Control (DLC) provides the ability to the real loading capacity on the radio remote display before you start working, according to how you stabilized the crane. In fact, the load chart calculates the crane performance on a 360° operative radius and for each extension of the crane. This allows one to immediately know how much can be lifted in a specific direction. DLC facilitates the operator work, even in the most complex operating situations, saving time and minimizing safety risks.
